My role in Love Songs of a Third Grade Teacher is the latest in a long list of artistic collaborations I’ve had with Sabrina over the years. We both graduated from the theater department at UC Santa Cruz and ended up back in Los Angeles where we studied improv comedy at Bang theater and were founding members of the improv comedy group, Freak. During that time I directed the sketch comedy show Don’t Get Smart with Me Missy starring, among others, Sabrina, myself and Fred Willard. When Sabrina moved on to form the band Third Grade Teacher, I continued performing improv comedy with Rat Bite Fever and wrote, acted and directed sketch comedy, including the show Pothead Porn Dwarfs.

I’ve also written, directed and produced many film and video projects including the CD Rom Garage Band and the feature film Tweek City, both of which feature the music of Third Grade Teacher.
